Grand Premiere: The Melodies of Veris Ubani
“Theatre” is preparing for an exciting new premiere.
On May 20, 21, and 22, audiences will witness the long-awaited return of one of Georgia’s most beloved musicals — The Melodies of Veris Ubani.
After five decades, the first Georgian musical returns to the stage in a new theatrical production inspired by the legendary film by Giorgi Shengelaia. The musical features unforgettable compositions by Gogi Tsabadze and lyrics by Moris Potskhishvili.
On the stage of “Theatre,” audiences will once again meet the beloved characters of old Tbilisi:
Pavle the coachman and his daughters, Vardo the laundress, the dance school instructors, the police chief and his officers, the merchant Pankesa, Agha-Georgka, and many other colorful figures who bring the vibrant atmosphere of Veris Ubani to life.
The performance will be accompanied by a specially designed dinner experience, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the music, story, and spirit of the era.
